New Zealand:

Is one of the rabbit breeds recognized by the ARBA. Starting as an experiment, this breed has proved itself as a meat breed. This breed is a simple breed to show and I recommend it as a rabbit for those of you who want to start the bigger breeds. The New Zealand is to have a commercial pose, flyback fur, and thick foot pads. The New Zealand is to have a good medium bone, not light or fine. There are three colors recognized by the ARBA, these include Black, Red ( I raise these), and White ( these too). Then there is one group recognized and it is the broken group. In this group is one color and it is black. There are colors that are not recognized yet by the ARBA, Chestnut, Blue, BEW ( blue eyed white), steel. People are also trying to get these colors recognized. I should have some Whites soon, but she is a first time mother, so I'm not sure.
